Yes, the clients can continue connecting using TS Client. However, make sure the Terminal Server and MetaFrame are on different domains or else you can run into problems with security and user profiles because both need to use the PDC (Primary Domain Controller). We tried having both on the same domain, one using the PDC and the other a BDC and we still had problems.
