>I can run the application from my computer just fine regardless of the mapping. I've disconnected the NT and mapped a drive to T:\TTS on the Novell. It runs like clock work. When I try to demo it on my bosses machine it gives me an error "File access denied." (cancel, ignore, help are my options) If I ignore It'll go through without asking me for my password and continues on without a problem until I exit. When I exit I get the same exact error. When I try it again I can ignore the error and continue then it'll ask me for my password. And again when I exit will I get the error.

There could be alot of things happening here... There first thing I would look for is to make sure DEBUG.TXT is not in the directory... or, if it is, make sure that MetaData.DBF is not included in the EXE... The first thing the ap does is build MetaData.DBF if DEBUG.TXT is in the startup directory...

Second... do you get the message... 'This is the first time you have run this ap, you need to set some settings?'

They above message depends on the DBCMetaDataMgr that you are using. If you have lUseDBCMetaMgr set to true in your ap, you won't see the above message... if you have run the ap on your current machine, but are running it from a differnt directory, you will have to delete the registry entry which contains the path to your DBC...

You also may have included the DBC, or some other free table in your EXE, make sure that all the data files, except the ones you know you want in the EXE are excluded.

In addition to the above, there were some bugs in 4.1 that have to do with data environments and the DBCMetaMgr that I think were fixed in 4.2.
