I never seem to have gotten around to writing a transpose routine, usually because I engineered around it some other way. Why do you need it?

It would be a little strange, though`, unless you had all the same data types. Consider that a column of characters becomes a row of characters, while the next column of numbers becomes a row of numbers. Means you have to type cast everything, and a reverse transpose may not be possible. Seems to me if the reverse can't be done, then the procedure is undefined.
