>>>I remember them. Good group. There's a radio station in Chicago called WXRT, that plays all sorts of music. I think that's where I first heard them. Their slogan was (and maybe still is) "Chicago's Fine Rock Station". They play just about everything, Blues, Rock, Jazz. And speaking about Blues, I'm going back to a place in Woodstock, GA this Saturday called "The Blue Pig". They've got a group playing there (can't remember the name, though), that's fronted by a fellow named "Chicago Joe". Saw him last Saturday, and it was a great show. Can't wait. As much as I love classical music, I love the blues too. (What do you want from a guy out of the south side of Chicago?)< g >

>>PMJI, but when did Chicago get blues? Memphis is THE home of the blues, just ask B.B. King! My brother played with him and Stevie Ray Vaughn and toured with Bobby Blue Bland before he died about 6 years ago. You want blues - Beale Street, Memphis, TN.< G >

>Oh John, of course your right. But many "bluesmen" made their way north to Chicago, including the late, great Muddy Waters. And the south side of Chicago is where many came to reside. BTW, didn't B.B. King first get the "B.B." part from being the "Beale Street Blues Boy"?

I believe that's correct. He is originally from Mississippi, but like most of the people in Mississippi, got the blues and came to Memphis.< G >
