It's most likely hanging because of a corrupted index. You may want to reindex your tables on a regular basis. However, I would look into the reason why you are getting these bad records. Are your users hitting the power button on the CPU?

>I Have a table which has a garbage record in it. I think you guys & Girls would have seen it. Black lines in the record look like a Rail Track. The table opens fine with the use command but hangs the computer when i use SQL select. I used Foxfix but it cannot detect & remove this corrupted record. The only way I could fix this is by deleting the record and then packing the table, Now I could Fix this if all my clients are in my vicinity.
