>I'm using VFP 6.0 and having trouble registering crystl32.OCX with the setup wizard. The ocx is in the distribution directory with the rest of the files to distribute and in the setup wizard I selected to install crystl32.ocx in the winsysdir. I printed the report after setup files were created and indeed the crystl32.ocx is on the report as one of the files to setup on the users machine, but when I run setup on a users machine the crystl32.ocx file is not being registered, infact it isn't even being copied to the windows/system directory. Can anyone shed some light on why this might be happening?

I ran into this problem on a Setup for one of my applications. With the old Setup Wizard we used to put the ocx's in the distribution directory to include them in the distribution package. Now MS has an Include OCX button in one of the steps in the wizard which will prompt for the ocx. I put the ocx in the distribution directory and checked the OCX box which prompted for the ocx and it failed to install the ocx on the user's machine. Apparently if you do both, something goes wrong in the Setup Wizard. I went back, removed the ocx from the distribution directory, recreated the Setup only checking the OCX check box and responding to the prompt and it ran fine on the machines. This is the method MS says to use. I think there may be a "feature" on this issue in the Setup Wizard. :-)
