Go Leafs Go! Go Leafs Go! Go Leafs Go! :-)
>You are right on the spot about the exchange rate problem. Here in Quebec, we already lost the Nordiques (now the Avs), we are in immediate danger of loosing the Expos (MLB) and there are talk that the Canadian could go south in less than 10 years if the situation doesn't improve. Given that we (Montreal) are rated the biggest fans of hockey in the world, you can think what a mess that will make here :(

>>And expanding again at the end of this season. Very sad fact concerning exchange rate. The league could help. One problem is the requirement to pay ALL players in US currency, but the Canadian franchises collect revenues (tickets, parking, concessions, etc.) in Canadian currency. Plus, the Stars owner does not care if he loses money on the team. He just wants a winning team. He also owns the local Major League Baseball team (Rangers).
