you want to store scanned fingerprints in the database and do automatically comparisons between the fingerprints ? Am I right ?

If yes, then it won't be easy, you need some module for image recognition and comparison. It's a very difficult task !!!

BTW. The Chaos Computer Club here in Germany has demonstrated, not very long ago, in a very impresive way, how easy it is to fool the fingerprint scanners.
