I second the motion. Now if we could also time the Cup to be the Panthers and Canucks with a sponsored trip to the game :-)

>Here is a chance to plug Vancouver for a Devcon.
>>1. A city that is an airline hub
>> a. So it doesn't take a million connections to get there.
>> b. Ticket cost can be keep a low as possible since price really hurts people attending.
>
>Yes. Vancouver has direct flights to most North American and International cities.
>
>>2. A conference center/hotel that has an airport shuttle.
>> a. common sense
>> b. it's inefficient and environmentally unfriendly to have people rent cars, and, again, cost is a big issue with people.
>
>Once again Vancouver is perfect. There is a shuttle that runs every 15 minutes and stops at every major hotel (any hotel that is a chain or a conference hotel) cost $6.50 US. Public Transit is $1.50US. Taxi is under $20US.
>
>>Any thoughts? Or am I just nuts?
>
>Hosting a Devcon in Vancouver immediately lowers the cost of hosting the conference by %30 which can be passed on to attendees. The foxteam doesn't need to fly then can drive 2.5 hours to get here.
>
>>On a positive note: I'm glad registration asks for dietary preferences. Vegetarian, allergies, etc.
>
>If held in Vancouver you could ditch the conference food and indulge in any type of food imaginable. Vancouver reportedly has the highest number of resturants per capita in North America. Many vegetarian.

>Michel Fournier was in town last year and I think he used the word "paradise".
