>Hi, everyone. Here's my situation. Our application, including search indexes created with dtSearch, is getting too big for one CD and that is all we are allowed to use. I looked at Compaxion from xiTech. However, it is no good for shared access. Also, the indexes created with dtSearch are too big. We have tried PhDbase, but it can't handle long field names. Does anyone know of any other on-the-fly compression solutions for VFP 6 and any other search engine for use with VFP tables? Or any other way to solve this? Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated.

Do your data stay on the CD while the app runs, or are they installed to a HD from the CD, then run? If the latter, you could use an install program to compress the files on the CD. Of course, maybe you're doing this already ! :-)
