Tim,

Are you creating the spreadsheet with a COPY TO command to start? If so you might try using TYPE XL5 or XL7. Another to look for is those dialogs might be able to be suppressed by using some of the optional arguments to Close() or setting a property of the Excel object itself.

>Using VFP 6 I export a spreadsheet to Excel 97. OLE Automation is used to format (fonts, column widths, etc.) the spreadsheet. Everything is fine until I add a WrapText to the code. Then, the save of the spreadsheet using SaveAs and the Close (there is no code between the SaveAs and the Close) start acting up. The Close generates a message asking if I want to save my changes to the XLS. If I say I want to save my changes I get another message notifying me that my spreadsheet is in a prior version of Excel and asking if I want to convert to the current version.

>If I remove the WrapText and leave all of the other calls to Excel to format the spreadsheet, I no longer get the 2 messages.
