Hi Ken
Seems like a good place to hop in. From very brief conceptual reading, It seems like like XML will be the "world wide database". So far I have only grasped the concept that an XML transaction will be an extension of HTML to he point that data items will be "tagged" , where various types of parsing engines will extract the data in a standard way. I imagine therefore that this could be a "flat file" type of thing without relationships etc. etc. and may not be be a data set as we know it.
I am sure that I am wrong. Could you please enlighten me at the conceptual level at least ?

In fact, HTML will be created from the transformation of XML via XSL, >either on the client on the server. XML will turn the web into a WWD (world >wide database).
