PMFJI, but this has been a very interesting thread, and you just made sense of it for me with this scenario. I've been wondering if perhaps another scenario, where we again have a small data-set, and the mobility needs of the users would have led us to consider doing offline views with VFP. I know we (the foxpro community) have figured out the tricks to offline views, but they didn't real seem to get to be a popular/common solution. Every time I here about an app with mobile users, I hear SQL Server. Could MSDE be useful in this type of situation too? thanks.
