I see what you want to do...I did much the same thing when 5.0a, and later SP3 for vfp5. I had a lot of "remote" users with original runtime 5.0. In fact, to this day I've never done a setup update for most of them, since there were no bugs that needed runtime updates. I've continued to supply updated EXEs built with later vfp5 versions, with no ill effects. However, this is a simple app, and I can't say I'd recommend this technique in general...
