Tim

I just saw a similar problem after loading VFP6 SP3. In my case I was using Btrieve, not Oracle, but the symptoms sound similar. The only thing I found that would solve my problem was to DELETE my DBC (not just empty it) and then recreate it and rebuild my ODBC stuff.

If you have a lot of stuff in your DBC, I know this sounds like a terrible answer, but at the moment, it's all I've got and it's not even guaranteed.

There may be a shorter route, but what I saw indicatewd that there was a problem in the DBC itself. Good luck. Let us know what you try, and how it goes.
