Unhappily, you can't work around this "feature". I use the VFE framework, which has a TON of custom properties and methods of its own. In order to differentiate MY custom Properties and Methods from VFE's, I use a consistent prefix followed by an underscore e.g. M3E_MyProperty1, M3E_MyMethod1, etc.

Still has the all-lower-case limitation, but I find it much easier to find my "stuff", as it's all in one place, and listed alphabetically within the sub-group.
