I have my data files in a data folder, and my exe in the base folder for the project, in my main program I use:

SET PATH TO DATA;REPORTS...

and my forms have no problem finding them, however there could be a problem if you have two copies of your data files accesible to the program, as in one in your exe folder, and the other one in your live folder.

You can still force the use of the live data by changing the database property for your cursors before you open your tables, like someone recommnded me here, but this would only be necessary if you have more than one accesible data set. HTH
