Thanks for the suggestions guys. I had tried repopulating the rowsource witht he new select string, requery and refresh still to no avail. I tried a simpler version on a test form and it worked correctly so I went back to the original problem form and started taking things off. In the form that was giving me the problem I was actually using the picformbtns class contained in the wizbtns.vcx. Once I took that off my form everything worked. I should know better than to try to subclass off the wizard classes anyway...:) Shortcuts usually have a price...
