An easy problem to fall into. A good rule of thumb is to use private DS on all forms EXCEPT modal forms called from another form. These should use the default DS so they share the DS of the calling form.

The above use of default DS is not well documented, but is extremely useful if you are calling a form to edit a memo, add some extended data, etc.
