Is there a setting on the printer that can be changed to fix this problem?

I have seen this error as well. Generally it has been a highly detailed report with lots of boxes, lines, etc. The only printers that can handle these are usually our HP LJ II and higher. DeskJets and OfficeJets give the error. This maybe due to the actual drivers being used.

I was able to work around some of the problems by moving as much of the detail band objects to either the title or footer bands.
