About the only thing I can think of, if running Win3.x isn't an acceptable alternative, you can't get source, you can't use a product like REFOX to extract the code that you need, and neither Win9x nor WinNT's print drivers handle things right, might be to use OS/2 Warp to run the application - it still uses the original Win16 engine in a VDM to run Win16 applications, and its graphics engine is different than the common elements of Win32's GDI code shared between NT and Win9x. Just realize that there's virtually no Win32 support beyond limited Win32s available in the current releases of Warp.
