Thanks Bob. I am or was doing exactly what you recommended. In the init event of the form instead of the load, but it was getting the job done. I have found that you can't nest in a method like I have to so after a week at this conversion I'm back to just using the prg off the main menu.

I have a do case with an if and a scan in one section. Trying to save that VFP kicks back and says you cant have the nesting. oh well.

I found that the reason the form wasn't sticking was my lack of disabling the primary bizobject on the grid's bizobject.
