Do you still have VFP 5? If so does the form crash when you do this mod in 5?

Does any operation on the DE crash it? What about removing the table that's in there?

If you can't resolve it on this form, you could create a new form, cut and paste all of the controls from the old one, use the old scx as a table, copy the code from the form record, and paste it into the new one.
