Domain Controller freezes

The situation is this:
Primary Domain Controller (PDC) running Backoffice Server,
Two Backup Domain Controllers (BDC1 and BDC2) under nt40 Enterprise,
15 NT4.0 worksations.
All the equipment is Dell, except one Digital p133.

Since Monday, the network has "frozen" at various times (generally 12:00 [lunch] and 4:30 [closing]) when one station logs off. The PDC freezes up and all remaining network users freeze up EXCEPT the one Digital p133.

There are no messages in the PDC Error Log and the only errors in the BDC1 Error Log refer to the unavailability of the Master Browser (the PDC) which makes sense since it is frozen.

The errors appear similar to what is described in Microsoft KB article Q189356 re: SAMR Pipes Cause Problems with Domain Controllers, but we are not using the Novell intraNetware client.

Any hints, tips or suggestions, (or solutions ;)) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Stephen Graham
