>That's fine, but why do you need relations at all. As Arnon answered, you could just create the view which will contain exact set of data reflecting form functionality.
I thought I needed to set relations because of a problem I'm having with the view designer. When I add a second table, the Join dialog allows me to chose the related fields. But when I close, the Join isn't a join it is a filter. If I manually create the joins, I am only allowed to create Left Outer Joins. I guess that is what I want, and creating a join between two tables works fine. However, when I add a third table I get an error when I try to save the join: Connectivity Error....: The column prefix 'Claimant_record' does not match with a table name or alias name used in the query.
Why does VFP5 want to add a filter when I'm trying to create a join? And any ideas on why I'm getting the above ODBC error (I'm connecting to a SQL Server)?
