First let me tell you that the language laws are not that drastic.

I think that every french speaking worker in the computer world will agree with me that english is the language of choice in that field.

Now about the language spoken in Montreal. Be serious, theyre is not going to be a police to check everyone that enters in Montreal to see if they speak french.

In the past months as a member of the FoxPro user's group in Montreal on the invited speakers list were Kevin McNeish and Les Pinter.

Kevin did his presentation in english with no kind of pressure to do it in french. Les Pinter speaks french but he decided to do his presentation in english because he felt more confortable doing so. No problem theyre.

Montreal would be so nice to for DevCon. We have a nice temperature in the summer time. We have the biggest jazz festival in the world (how about a 500 000 persons crowd in the streets for the main show). The vast majority of these shows are free. We also have a "Just For Laughs" festival also with lots ot free shows and in the streets like the jazz festival. (Did you know that Jerry Seinfeld became famous after appearing at the "Just For Laughs" festival ?). They're are two parts to the "Just For Laughs"festival. The first part is in french and the second part is in english.

I could go on and on about nice things to do in Montreal (only in english if you choose to do so).

So now what do you think?
