Thanks for the suggestion about the knowledge base. I wasn't aware that there was one. I found the following message there. Apparently there will be a fix on the next maintenance release... I hope it is soon.

7.0: Printing one page at runtime blanks out report in preview window

Problem:
A report is previewed at runtime. Printing only one page then advancing through the report causes the
data in the preview window to disappear. The report needs to be refreshed manually to restore data.


Solution:
This is a known issue which has been tracked (track #14991). This has been tested with Maintenance
Release 1 (MR1) of Seagate Crystal Reports, and appears to be fixed. It is not known at this time
when MR1 will be released."
