Steve: Query Maker allows you to enter all (or a subset) of fields from your tables, and set the relations between them. You can do basic SELECTs, but you can't do Outer Joins or calculated fields except counts/sums.

It's easy to use for clients who want to do a large number of relatively simple queries, because it has an excellent user interface once the fields are set up. Lookup tables can be seen as listboxes, WHERE clauses can be edited with AND/OR and user-defined parentheses, etc.

However, without the Outer Join you run into a wall when you are looking for data NOT in your child tables.

I have 2 clients using it, and one loves it, the other, more computer literate, has reached its limitations and is frustrated. We may be switching her to FoxFire! soon.
