False Alarm. I had to add a This.Refresh() in the INIT of the first Box. Which I mustav had before.

Which leads me to ask: Why do I need to refresh my form if I want to read the current DisplayValue of a ComboBox?!? I could see refreshing it after I assign, but before I read it?!? Isn't foxpro supposeded to do some of these things?!?
