Does the table have a 0 or empty value in the key? If there is say an empty value in the key when the system goes to append into it it starts empty and will give you the error. Are there deleted records in the clipper table? that are producing the error?

It gets no further than the 1st record. I can append records in VFP & put in the info. that's in the Clipper dbf & get no uniqueness violation. I don't want to manually enter all the date!
