I've never seen default behavior do this. Did you build this form with a wizard possibly?

If so, how do you want it disabled? If you're in the middle of a TRANSACTION, you'll want to either END
TRAN or ROLLBACK

I think we need a little more info to help you.

i belive the form was created using form wizard but i am not using the text buttons to manipulate the database cursor. I am simply doing a replace fieldx with var1 from a command button. when i close the form i get that message, i dont get the message when the edit is actually happening. i dont want this message to appear because there is updating of other tables going on behind this command button and this message would be misleading.
