I am not sure I am following you here. But, you mentioned the possibility that a Javascript can fire a report. I haven't found a Javascript able to do that. What will it be?
Right now, for the printing, we tell the user the do Ctrl+P. That's why I would prefer to have a printer icon to click on it.
