Does this only occur in EXE's?? If it does, this may be due to your settings when building the application. Check project info and make sure 'Debug Info' is NOT selected. Rebuild the application and then try it.

Also, I've noticed that certain versions of the Novell Client may periodically drop packets/handles to files. If you're using the NetWare client that came with NT try downloading the most recent NetWare Client for NT from http://www.novell.com. This might also be helpful.
