MS does listen, but they determine the prioirty of implementing those changes, and clearly you aren't happy with their set of priorities. It's clear to me from SP3 that they're addressing things that many of the rest of us to be critical, you aren't getting what you want - why not switch to Visual dBASE or PowerBuilder? They might be more to your liking, or more responsive...

And if you believe that, I've got a bridge to sell you at a real good price on your way out the door...cash only.
