You can create very robust applications using local data on a LAN with VFP. This is VFP's strong point!

Basically, you will install your compiled EXE on your client machines and your data files on a share on your netork. Access to the data files will provided by storing your network data paths to an application variable and using it to set the database property of your cursors in the Data Environment.
