There was a question about why he didn't just use ADO to save or add a new record and he said he was unable to get it to work without firing off errors yet. So he was using SEEK and then REPLACE to update the record using VFP code in the COM object.
Haven't had a chance to check it out yet, but I wonder if this is also an issue with OLE DB for ODBC using VFP Remote Views.
