I'd hazard a guess that you've used VBA in Word 97 (word.application) rather than Word Basic (word.basic) - VBA isn't available in Word6, although you can do just about everything you need to in WordBasic.

Your customer should be able to install the Word 6 wordbasic help file (wrdbasic.hlp) which lists all the commands, etc.
