I assume there's an occasional SQL Server expert here, and I hope Admins won't get angry for me posting this here, but most people hang around this forum.

I'm having some hard time with xp_sendmail procedure in SQL Server 7.0 (installed SP1 today, no apparent solution to my problem).

I'm using Internet Mail/MAPI Client, MS Outlook 97, with option to use
Outlook 98/2000, if necessary, and before installing SP1, every attempt to use xp_sendmail would lock the server, and reboot was the only way out.
Now, something else is happening:
Procedure seems to manage its job of sending the message to the MAPI client, but all messages end up in Outlooks Outbox, and are sent only when I manually open Outlook, and invoke a "Send/Recieve" process.

Anyone with experience with this sort of thing?

Thanx.
Danijel
