Thanks Goerge, but I'm not sure what you mean,

When you say pass it do you mean in my getinientry() line, or modify the ffc to return cValue?

Here's my line:
?oIni.getinientry(**,'Application','LastUpdate','I:\arss\ims5\ims.ini')
