Let me rephrase the statement about functions in indexes. FoxPro has certain commands and functions that are not supported under ODBC. I'm looking for the article on using the DELETED() function in an index. I found this information recently when trying to find out why Access and VB5 would crash when opening a VFP table with DELETED() as an index.

>Where did you read that? AFAIK, you won't have problem accessing a VFP table with a Deleted() index via ODBC.

>>Is there a way to access VFP5 tables that are using DELETED() for an index? I found information that ODBC is not able to use indexes that have a function in them. The tables are associated with a commercial application, so I can't simply modify the databse or tables. I currently am able to access the data from tables created in a nightly extract process, but I'd like to be able to access the data in realtime.
