Bill,
I'm in touch with your ranting here. I studied and took the VB 5 test because there wasn't a VFP test available. I too have been waiting for MS to put out the long promised tests and even e-mailed MS in protest at some point.
Still, I was encouraged by DevCon. The certification folks were there claiming to be supporting VFP and they really worked hard with the VFP crowd to get questions and ideas. Sure, they are slow as Hell getting around to it, but they are getting there nonetheless.
This was my first DevCon and I was extremely impressed with what is going on out there with VFP. I know your company is focusing more and more on VB and SQL Server, but from what I saw at DevCon it doesn't seem like such a clear cut choice anymore.
Some of these guys are "High-Speed, Low-Drag" if you know what I mean and they love VFP and are doing all kinds of things with it. If you've had a chance to see Ken Levy or Rick Strahl give a talk, you know what I mean.....
Well, I'm kind of off the point. I wouldn't give up on your VFP certification. In fact, I'd be studying at this point, because before long you'll have what you've been asking for.
Later
