I figured this would be a common 'newby's gotcha'. Seems like a good candidate for a FAQ...maybe it already is one...though I looked and couldn't find it.
As I said, the whole area of VFP's handling of cursors does not seem to be documented in any regular way which is too bad since they seem to be a useful object with which to manipulate temporary sets of records.
