I have spent the last couple of hours stepping through the default code, and the code works up untill the TABLEUPDATE() call, where it fails without an error message.
Proir to the call, the RECNO() of the new record is -1. There is data in the new records required fields.
It should be noted that all 18 open cursors are parsed via the update procedure, even though 10 of the cursors are read only. The other 7 cursors cannot be edited until after a successful entry of a new record, as they require the new sequence provided index key(three are created by an insert trigger on the master record)
