I've been using InstallShield Express for a year or so with no problems. I don't know what the fuss is about? Activex controls are easy to include as are desktop shortcuts, start menu shortcuts, creation of directories, paths, or whatever you can think of. Once you learn a few things, its quite easy. I created a simple vfp install, checked the file contents to see the basis files that must be included with the install, then added them to the installshield installation. I use Express to create both the compressed files for a CDROM install along with InstallFromTheWeb files. Very easy if you ask me, but I also have nothing to compare it to. I just wanted to use the most common installation software I see all the time.

>Hello,
>I'm thinking on distributing my VFP6.0 applications via Installshield. but some Foxes say, that this will cause only troubles and is no fun at all. Especially distributing activex would be a pain in the neck.
>It would be very helpful for me, to hear some first hand experiences with different products, which are probably more easy to use than installshield.
>Thank you very much for your time!
