>I realize the importance of allowing users to change color schemes and why they should be able to set their own color and font preferences. However, a few of the forms in my application contain bitmaps that don't follow the color changes made in the Windows Control panel (their background remain grey while the rest of the form follows the Windows color scheme) therefore making those screens difficult to read and understand.

Command buttons are very limited in the control you have over their color (both in VFP and Windows in general). There are 3rd party Active-X command buttons that provide more freedom. I have seen them mentioned here but I can't remember their names. Try searching the message archive here.
