I'm using:
RUN /N2 ATTRIB -R &FullPath
To turn off read-only attributes for a file before my application deletes it. I figured it would be easier to do this for all files I'm about to delete - but it seems to be pretty slow (I'm deleting a bunch of old files).
I have two questions:
1) I seem to remember an article recently about some new VFP6 commands. Among them was an easy way to change attributes. How can I easily change attributes of a file within VFP6?
2) Would it be faster to check the current attributes before changing them ro R/W, or would it be faster to set each file to R/W before deleting it?
TIA
