I need a way to calculate the phyical width of a font based on the font family and point size. We are creating electronic HTML based forms and want to make sure that certain fields do not contain information which will wrap, therefore we need to calculate the length of the string as it will print with a certain font and point size.

Is there an algorithm/object/WinAPI call that I can use to do this?
