This error message is common whn the client could not contact the remote printer spooler or load the printer driver. In your case it seems to be that it has something to do wirh user-rigths.

Though you say you made everybody a member of the printoperatorsgroup they still have to log off and logon again to get these settings. Try if you can print from other aplications (e.g. Notepad,Word or excel).
