The only way I can reproduce that is by making the grid enabled = .F. It *always* receives focus, and the focus remains there, otherwise. In fact, it's difficult to get off the grid, it requires a mouse click :) You're sure the grid is enabled?

I should add you must have Tabstop = .T., since I just noticed you're trying it with Tabstop set to .F. You can, of course, also stop the grid from getting focus that way...
