Take a look at the Mere Mortals Framework at www.oakleafsd.com. This one of the framework's that offer training. I think it is pretty easy to use, they have a jumpstart guide which will let you quickly build you're first application.

The training comes in when you want to fully exploit the power of the framework. Because of the complexity of VFP, OOP and a robust framework that fully utilitzes business objects, there is definately a big learning curve. I think the training helps ease this curve.

P.S. There have been several good threads over the past few months on the smae subject. If you search the knowledge base I think you will find many good opinions on all the available frameworks.
